I loved this book! Such a feel good romcom. Imagine reuniting with all your favorite couple friends from long past, for the annual summer trip to somewhere along the Atlantic Ocean.
5 heart aching months have passed from the time Harriet and Wyn decided to go their separate ways. The pain of the breakup rendered either of them able to fess up to their friends and/or family that things between them went south. A while ago. Now they find themselves back in one of the friend’s dad’s summer houses for their annual shindig. Since the last summer reunion friend’s dad’s Wife Number 6 couldn’t stand the place because hubby bought it with wife number 4, so on the market it went.
This being their last hoorah one of the couples announced at the beginning of the trip that at the end of the week they were staying, they had planned a spontaneous wedding. For nostalgic reasons and such. Surprise! Now what? Harriet and Wyn couldn’t confess to the breakup now. It would be rude and in bad taste therefore they had to put on a show in front of the others for the week. What else could they do? They made their own bed and now they needed to lie in it.
I was really diggin’ this book and made it to page 320, the home stretch, but the content turned into one word porn scene after another. If that’s your bag than I say go for it baby! (Yes, that was an Austin Powers reference.)
