My absolute favorite thing is to read a great book and discuss once I’m finished. I’d love to invite you to join me in my cozy corner of the internet where we can discuss together and amongst ourselves.

Because I receive 99.9% of my reading material from the libraries of my area, I have decided to focus my philanthropic energies on helping my local library systems.

The recovery community is also very near and dear to my heart. Therefore, my other philanthropic endeavor is to create sober living scholarships to help people that are ready to transition from an inpatient substance abuse treatment center into a sober living house. This is usually a difficult time for someone that finds themselves in just such a predicament and is 99.9% likely they are struggling financially. After all, nobody goes to substance abuse treatment because they are on a winning streak.

As I said, I am starting locally in the Green Bay and Door County areas, then branching out, hopefully towards Chicago and then to Seattle.

All moneys raised from this silent auction, being held from August 10th to the 16th will be divided equally between the sober living scholarship fund, and the public libraries of the Green Bay and Door County areas.

I have begun contacting all the businesses in my area and have been receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. For those of you business owners that would be interested in contributing financially, a $25-$49 donation (made via the donate link below) will receive a special thank you in the form of displaying your logo on my website. A $50+ donation (made below) will be shown my appreciation not only by displaying your logo on my website but also the use of a level 1&2 membership to my website. These perks are valid for a duration of 6 months. This means that you will have the ability to comment on my website, www.danyellescozycorner.com, and also have access to your own personal book blog, complete with a search bar for easily finding specific authors/ books. I treat my blog as a book diary, easily remembering my thoughts on authors/books which otherwise would become forgotten in my ever continuing journey of reading.

The bad news: unfortunately, due to restructuring as a nonprofit there has been an unfortunate and unavoidable small delay before the use of the perks becomes activated. (They are coming soon though, I promise) All users that become eligible for the membership perks will be added to the wait list and notified when the perks are activated.
