Title: A Slow Fire Burning
I chose this book because I have a high respect for Mizz Hawkins. I have read many books that have boasted a positive review by her upon the cover page and loved them. Plus there is such high praise for Girl on the Train. I mean, everyone has heard of it. So, I was excited to pick up this book, A Slow Fire Burning. The prose is lovely and it has a strong plot. Where I came into a problem was that there were so many protagonists that had been dealt a very cruel hand from life. I just could not do it. I gave it a good almost 200 page college try. I had to put it down. Just not my cup of tea, but don’t let that stop you from reading it.
