Title: Blossom In Winter
I brought this book home because A. It was displayed on the top shelf of my local library and B. the pretty cover drew me in for more and C. the blurb in the back really sealed the deal. Plus, on top of that the librarian told me this book has been gaining in popularity as of late. So, home it came with me.
I stayed up late last night and read to about my good ol’ 100-page college try. I don’t think I’ll return to the story. My biggest problem is the female love interest is just coming of age now, she’s currently 17. Trying to figure out who she is and where she fits and along comes her MIA godfather, (the male love interest) 23 years her senior. The book spoke of BDSM which made me a little uncomfortable when I took all this into consideration. It reminded me of a twisted take on Fifty Shades Of Gray, by Mz. E.L. James. Plus there were a few instances the author used the phrase oh my. Which to me is too similar to Anastasia’s inner dialogue that was quoted often of oh my.
I have decided this isn’t my cup of tea.
