P 193 states that buzzards are the only bird species that can fart. Per Google this is an untruth. Which makes me feel better about the fact that I stopped reading this novel at about the halfway point.
This was written by the ‘King’ of scary, Mr. Stephen King, himself, and yet I wasn’t scared. I have no phobias of scorpions or spiders either, even the deadly kind, and coyotes are more of a misunderstood dog in my book. So, the wildlife Mr. King depicted did not work to scare me either
I couldn’t understand either why all these escapees from the county jail, locked up and put on death row by a mad man. Actually, calling him a mad man is inaccurate. It would be more fitting to say seriously possessed. So, now these people are all running the streets of Desperation looking for a good place to hide whilst trying to avoid the seriously possessed madman and yet they are all making the biggest rookie mistake of all. Turning lights on in the dark? Anyone versed in survival half .1 knows that light travels far. It’s actually a dead give away.
