Presumed  Innocent

Date: January 21, 2025
Author: Scott Turow
Title: Presumed  Innocent

This book was Mr. Scott Turow’s debut novel. I was thoroughly enjoying this story, whilst holding onto a sneaky suspicion that the defendant just may have done all he was accused of. However, fate shifted in his favor as the local cops had bungled the investigation by misplacing the key piece of evidence. The glass with the thumbprint.

I lost interest when Mr. Turow over explained and over analyzed the meager evidence the prosecutors had to work with. I simply lost interest and shortly after the two covers come together one final time.

Apologies if this turned out to be the best book of the decade I just wasn’t into it.

Oh! One more thing, this book was from 1988. It’s the original edition. It even has the old school sheaf of paper the librarians used to stamp with ink the checked-out date and the due date. It felt reminiscent of my youth and I liked that bit of nostalgia.
