Welcome to the fund raiser that Danyelle’s Cozy Corner. Com is hosting to support the efforts of the sober living community of Queens, NY! (Round of applause!) This endeavor is especially dear to my heart because I have been intimately affected by the ravages of the disease of addiction and want to help newly clean/sober persons to learn to use the tools the program is teaching them in order to build a strong, clean/sober foundation for the rest of their lives.
I know from experience the financial stress addiction unleashes on not only the addicted person but also their family. Trust has been lost and credit scores are suffering. I hope this sponsorship program is able to help people that are ready to help themselves with a helping hand. I believe you’ll agree that this is quite a worthy cause, and I am excited to welcome all of you. Please, I invite you to sit back, get cozy and enjoy this innovative style of book discussions that encourages doing good deeds.
What are the benefits of sober living for people who’s lives have been ravaged by the disease of addiction? Sober living houses provide a supportive, alcohol/drug free environment in which to continue their journey of sobriety from intensive, inpatient treatment into a sober living community that encourages meeting attendance, clean drug/alcohol screenings, gainful employment, creating and achieving goals, etc.
To receive the help of the scholarship money(s) an essay of 350 words or less must be submitted to danyelle@danyellescozycorner. com for consideration. Subject line sober living, Queens, NY. Essays of chosen recipients will be published in the monthly newsletter that will be circulated to donors.
I ask everyone to keep in mind that this is a brand-new concept for all involved. I say this because I understand how learning something new can seem scary and to be avoided at all costs. Maybe I shouldn’t speak for you, but that is how I usually feel about all this new-fangled technology we have access to these days. I absolutely get it! But please, don’t be scared! I am pretty sure of all the emotions you may experience whilst tooling around on my website is that sad will not be one of them.
I am excited to offer us all a way to introduce ourselves to each other, creating our own community of like-minded bibliophiles. Personally? One of my great enjoyments in life is meeting others that love literature as much I do and whom want to enjoy an entertaining discussion about two of our (my) favorite things; raving about great literature and/or dissecting where the author went wrong.
How this fund-raising event will work is that 100% of all donations will be routed to this wonderful organization and in doing so I invite you to please take a look around and I do hope you enjoy your experience within my cozy corner of the internet.
Fun perks, of which there are many, but not limited to the following… Donations made between the increments of $30 and $54, will unlock the perks of being a level one member for a 6-month period. Level 1 is a super fun and super entertaining way to while away some spare time. How in the world will the perks of a level 1 membership so wildly enrich and enhancement my life? The answer is the door to communicating with fellow bibliophiles will be opened and you will enter a world so rich in love of literature you may just want to kick back and get cozy with it. Everyone can read the public reviews, but it takes a level 1 membership to engage, and will be yours as a perk of showing your support to the sober living community of Queens, NY! Donations of $55 or more will really get your enjoyment levels topping out at maximum enjoyability when the perks of level 2 are unlocked for a 6-month duration, you may not only partake in conversations about great literature, but you can be the one initiating them on your own personal blog. That’s right even you can join our community of bloggists through your generous support. What is a personal blog? You may ask? It is a way for you to review your favorite books and authors to share with the world of Danyelle’s Cozy Corner. Com. I also use mine as a book journal. I read between 3-5 books a week, on average, and have a hard time keeping all the stories and authors straight in my head so when it comes time to request my next round of stories from my local library I can easily see what I thought of an author/ manuscript via the handy dandy search bar. As you may expect you can just plug in the name of an author and all related content will be searched through and presented to you. Much as a search bar does.
Warning: dangers of loss of time due to engrossing conversations exist, high excitement levels abound as you dive into deep conversations revolving around dissecting great (and sometimes not great) story lines.
Because Danyelle’s Cozy Corner. Com cannot let you have all the fun of helping others my cozy corner will, with every $100 raised for New York Cares, make a 5% donation.
