Title: The Chronicles Of Narnia

O.M.G! This made me feel like a kid again! I honestly didn’t want it to end. This is the second time in my life reading this series. The first time was when I was somewhere between 8 and 10…? Which makes sense why I didn’t fully understand what I was reading. It is very smartly written. I found myself reading and re-reading much of this as my first sweep through I didn’t fully absorb the content. I love Mr. Lewis’ grand imagination and he explains his ideas so well.

If you’ve never read any of the Narnia titles than you likely don’t know the idea behind the series. It’s basically a telling of all Narnian history. Well, the exciting periods anyway. Nobody wants to read about the times when there was no action, only peace and love (according to Mr Lewis). Also, I’ve heard some say that Aslan, the lion (creator of Narnia), was Mr. Lewis’ representation of God. I’ve heard the phrase used of people having a higher power. I would say that is more accurate of an analogy. As though Mr. Lewis presented in vivid and believable prose how he believes his God to exist. Well done and bravo!

At the time when I read this originally the Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe appeared as first in the series. It has since been decided by Mr. Lewis to rearrange the series and The Magician’s Nephew  is now read as the first book, and afterwards the original order then resumes.

Fun fact. Mr. Lewis’ full name is Clive Staples Lewis, but all his friends called him Jack. He was in fact great friends with JRR Tolkien. I’ve never read the Lord Of The Rings trilogy but it has now earned a place on my to-do-reading-list for this simple fact.
